Tai Chi

Tai Chi is the moving form of exercise which most people associate with people doing early morning exercise in the parks of China. The exercise routine until recently was shrouded in mystery and a well guarded secret by the Chinese. However many westerners have studied out East to be able to return and teach this health exercise. The exercise, for forms as it is called is a set of moving, stretching exercise that follows the meridians and ancient acupressure points that retains a person's health and well being through life to old age. Once the form is learnt most people find that slowly their general health improves joints and ligaments become suppler.

Initially women want to learn because it is very graceful to watch, and men because of the strength it develops. This is the first stage which many people stay at as it is a good work out, however those that get hooked and carry on find that their whole lifestyle change for the better, the mind clearer, worries seem to disappear and decisions are positively made. Stress which is everyone's problem nowadays is reduced greatly; some even say that the exercise becomes a moving meditation where all outside distractions disappear while completing the exercise.
